gallery rosenfeld is delighted to announce the opening of Herbert Golser's new museum show at the Renaissance Palazzo della Corgna in Città della Pieve, Perugia, Italy. For this show the museum hosts Respiro del Legno, a solo exhibition by the Austrian sculptor, curated by Riccardo Freddo.
The exhibition intertwines with the rich history of the palace, home to the della Corgna family and a place of courtly splendour between the 16th and 17th centuries. Golser's sculptures are displayed in the rooms frescoed by Niccolò Circignani, known as Pomarancio, where myths, military exploits and allegories celebrate the power of the family, creating a unique dialogue between the lightness of the carved wood and the solemnity of the Mannerist painting.
