Rivas & Wloch is an Argentinean artist duo formed by Paula Rivas (1976) and Christian Wloch (1971). Since
2005, they have collaborated exploring different artistic media and technologies for the creation of
their works. Their work focuses on the investigation of new spatio-temporal geometries, which are
materialised in kinetic and light art pieces inspired by the visible and invisible universe. Rivas & Wloch
are referents of the new Latin American kinetic art, their work has been recognised with international
awards and distinctions, and forms part of public and private collections.
Cinética de la manifestación (The Kinetics of Manifestation) invites viewers into a carefully constructed
environment where light, form and motion coalesce into a meditative field of experience. The title
alludes to the artists’ long-standing interest in energy as both subject and medium—how unseen forces
can be made tangible through movement, rhythm, and the interplay of space. The exhibition transforms the gallery’s lower ground floor into an intimate space of reflection and perceptual play. Within this space, kinetic sculptures quietly rotate, pulse, and illuminate in choreographed cycles, creating subtle shifts in atmosphere and intensity. Rather than overwhelming theviewer, the works ask for attention and focus—inviting a slower, deeper way of looking.
While each artist maintains their own approach, their works are conceived in constant dialogue,
culminating in installations that resonate collectively. In this exhibition, they abandon traditional
distinctions between sculpture and environment, object and field. The gallery becomes a site of
manifestation in itself—an energetic container where the artworks do not merely exist, but behave,
breathe, and evolve in real time.
The presentation follows the duo’s standout participation at Untitled Art, Miami Beach (2024), where their
kinetic works captivated collectors and curators alike. With Cinética de la manifestación, Rivas and Wloch
deepen their enquiry into perception, presence, and the invisible structures that govern both art and
consciousness.
