gallery rosenfeld and the Cultural Institute of San Marino are delighted to announce the opening of Inarrestabile - Unstoppable, a major solo exhibition by Nigerian artist Ndidi Emefiele, curated by Riccardo Freddo.
Opening to the public from the 20th of June to the 3rd of September 2026 at Palazzo SUMS, the exhibition brings together painting, collage, textile interventions, and mixed media works in an immersive exploration of female identity, resilience, and self-determination.
Through richly layered compositions, Emefiele creates powerful female figures that confront the viewer with dignity, autonomy, and symbolic force. Her works move between portraiture and myth, reflecting on Black womanhood, memory, fashion, and contemporary culture while resisting stereotypes and fixed definitions.
Inarrestabile - Unstoppable unfolds as a journey through interconnected female presences that embody solidarity, endurance, and empowerment, creating a dialogue between intimacy and monumentality within the historic spaces of Palazzo SUMS.
