gallery rosenfeld is dleighted to present Teodora Axente's groundbreaking institutional solo exhibition in Italy, taking place at Museo di Santa Maria della Scala in Siena.
Curated by Riccardo Freddo and Michela Eremita, and based on an idea by Cristiano Leone, Metamorfosi del Sacro will be on view from 14 November 2025 until August 2026.
Comprising 25 new works created specifically for Santa Maria della Scala, the exhibition offers a profound journey through Axente’s visionary exploration of spirituality, memory, and transformation. Once a place of refuge for pilgrims, the museum’s rich historical and religious heritage becomes the setting for Axente’s contemporary dialogue - a fusion of relics, symbols, and painted installations that reinterpret the sacred through the lens of the present.
