Artissima 2020

5 - 8 November 2020

Artissima takes place in an Unplugged version for 2020. A new format, extended throughout the city and online that brings together physical exhibitions produced with Fondazione Torino Musei and digital projects: an acoustic version of the fair that focuses on the instrument (the works) and the voice (the galleries).

In its physical guise, Artissima Unplugged presents three exhibition projects in the museums of Fondazione Torino Musei – GAM - Galleria Civica dArte Moderna e ContemporaneaPalazzo Madama - Museo Civico dArte Antica and MAO Museo dArte Orientale – from 7 November 2020 to 9 January 2021. The exhibitions, presented under the theme Frenetic Standstill and curated by Ilaria Bonacossa, feature works provided by the galleries selected for this edition of the fair.

The artwork 'Tree of Knowledge' will be exhibited in the GAM - Galleria Civica d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea.

The theme Frenetic Standstill prompts reflections on the concept of acceleration as opposed to inertia, and on the increasingly urgent need to change our paradigms and to seek possible responses to the present crisis.

Thanks to the work carried out together with the Fondazione Torino Musei, even in 2020 Artissima is an opportunity for direct, personal, physical contact with contemporary art.
