rosenfeld porcini is proud to participate in the 2016 edition of the fair with a curated booth to present a solo booth with works by Leonardo Drew.
The practice of American artist Leonardo Drew, known for his evocative abstract sculptures assembled from diverse materials including cotton, rust, wood, paper and found objects, is concerned with the rebirth of organic materials which have been discarded or partially destroyed. Having found his raw materials, Drew takes them back to the studio and gives them due burial before transforming them into a new life as integral parts of his sculptural creations. At Untitled, we wish to present a selection of Drew’s recent works on paper where the artist uses the paper, which is always worn, torn or marked so that without any addition it is already a sculptural object. However, the works will also feature, wood, rust, paint cotton and sculpted paper objects.
