From Florence to Fitzrovia: The Discerning Eye of Ian Rosenfeld

Dreweatts Sale

gallery rosenfeld is excited to announce the auction From Florence to Fitzrovia: The Discerning Eye of Ian Rosenfeld at Dreweatts Auction House taking place on Wednesday 28th January.

Auction house, Dreweatts 1759 will be presenting the collection of the gallery's late director Ian Rosenfeld. Amassed over a lifetime, the collection ranges from Old Master paintings, sculpture, and furniture to Modern and Contemporary art and design, alongside African and Oceanic works, all formerly housed at his London home, The Clock House.

Commenting on the collection, Joe Robinson, Head of the House Sales and Private Collections said, “Ian’s remarkable ability - both as a collector and as a gallerist - to move fluidly from the Renaissance to the contemporary world gave rise to a visual language that was unmistakably his own. He was never daunted by the dialogue between the classical and the modern, a confidence reflected throughout the collection coming to auction."
