gallery rosenfeld is delighted to be participating in this year's 22nd London Design Festival ART COLLECTIVE: From the One to the Many.
From the One to the Many, taking place at The Saatchi Gallery explores the relationship between art collectives and individuals by showcasing the impact of collaborative work on society.
The exhibition will run between the 17th September and the 19th September 2024.
gallery rosenfeld will be presenting the works of four distinguished artists: Keita Miyazaki, Emmanuel Barcilon, Jose Castiella and Riccardo Guarneri. Each artist, with their unique vision and distinct style, contributes to a cohesive yet diverse display.
Keita Miyazaki's works will add a sculptural element to this exhibition with his intricate and whimsical creations. Using found objects and unconventional materials, Miyazaki constructs pieces that are both playful and profound, often commenting on societal issues and the ephemeral nature of life.
Jose Castiella's art brings a different dimension with his abstract expressionist pieces. His use of bold strokes and layered colours creates a sense of movement and depth, challenging viewers to find their interpretations within the chaos.
Emmanuel Barcilon's work consists of layering varnish mixed with pure pigment on wood, sanding and reworking each coat. This technique embeds a sense of memory in the pieces, with past layers sometimes visible and other times subtly hidden.
Riccardo Guarneri's pastel colours divide the canvas into apparently rational areas of line, colour and space, the whole ending in a visual equivalent of silence. His practice focuses on a radical visual investigation built around the idea that mark, colour and light constitute the intrinsic essence of a painting.
