Following on from being one of the stand out artists in Christine Macel's curated exhibition at last year's Venice Biennale, the 84 year old Florentine Riccardo Guarneri will be having his first solo exhibition in the uk at rosenfeld porcini this coming February.
The aim of our exhibition is to place Guarneri into a wider and very different historical context defined by two artists with similar poetic sensibilities and artistic objectives. Post-war Giorgio Morandi still lives and Fausto Melotti’s most delicate sculptures are both concerned with a total absence of emphasis, and a need for silent meditation to absorb their unique qualities.
