The Armory Show will take place from 6-8th of September (VIP preview day 5th of September) at The Javits Center.
gallery rosenfeld brings together the works of four distinguished artists: Teodora Axente, Ndidi Emefiele, Enrique Brinkmann and Xue Ruozhe.
Teodora Axente's paintings, with their ethereal and enigmatic quality, invite viewers into a world where reality and imagination intertwine. Her use of muted tones and subtle textures creates a dreamlike atmosphere, evoking a sense of introspection and wonder.
Ndidi Emefiele's works are characterised by vibrant, mixed-media portraits that explore identity, gender, and culture, often incorporating bold colours, textile elements, and layers of symbolism to convey powerful narratives about womanhood.
Enrique Brinkmann creates a visual tapestry in his abstract paintings that ventures into the domain of sculpture. His work consistently engages in a dialogue between gesture and void, while thoroughly exploring his chosen surfaces. His most recent works are notably defined by a lush colour palette, often applied directly to the canvas using a spatula. They have a richness and a raw energy which defy the artist's 85 years of age.
Xue Ruozhe's work aims to balance realism with surreal, dreamlike imagery, creating a mysterious atmosphere. The lack of clear context, often vague or obscured, deepens the sense of enigma and defies interpretation.
