Site-specific compositions reveal the resonance of light, unique to a particular setting. Spatialising the fundamental photographic process of light mediated by the lens, the work builds from the experimental extensions of the photographic medium in the work of the likes of Maholy-Nagy, to consider the technological interfacing between consciousness and body--the framing of reality. The name for the series, ‘Twilight Language’, reflects the idea of a language of forms of light, revealed within the space at the spectral edge of light and shadow—an intricate experiential language emerging through the play of spectral forms. 'Aurora' makes specific reference to the alchemical-cosmological diagrams of Renaissance philosophers such as Jacob Boehme and Robert Fludd.
